This very special double pack from Sushitech belongs to Mikael Stavöstrand who has already proved his skills on labels such as Contexterrior and Defrag. The tracks in this EP combine dark techno beats with organic instruments, it’s a perfect balance between them.

This record begins with ‘Housedays’ it starts with a massive bass and dark percussion and takes you all the way forward until it explodes with a great acid line. Pure sickness of tune. On the same side we have ‘Freakin Beatses’ this track shows the artistic side of the project, it’s classic Stavöstrand with clicky beats and a gorgeous guitar riff running through the track. A real peaceful production from Mikael and Dawson Baca. Turning over to the B side of the record ‘Q Fresa’ is a deep and long track, soulful chords and a Spanish vocal that takes the listeners deeper than ever, a very hypnotic track that will work perfectly in after hours and deep techno sets.

Moving on to disk 2 we have 3 remixes which work perfectly for all of the tracks. First up to the remix plate is Digitaline (Cadenza) stripping things right down to the bare essentials yet still managing to capture the main elements of ‘Q Fresa’ and create a sonically pleasing piece of music. If we flip disk 2 over we find a monster made by Koljah who makes his name stronger with every production that he releases, ravey remix for ‘Housedays’ that will make people fly listening to it in a club! Last on the record Ralph Sliwinski (Below, Hartchef Discos) does Q Fresa and takes it housier than the original using more natural elements and design and great texture for this vinyl. Sushitech 06.
