One Token Left
The fragile nature of human beings often depends on various things to live. Some of them are essentials, others are purely illusory. For some of us, what started as entertainment or amusement then becomes a need. “One Token Left” obviously points to the casinos and gambling amusement that have taken some lives away from their normal routine. Music and sound experience with a clash of conflicting emotions is here - the central point.
The idea behind the OTL project is a reflection on sounds and their passage through time. The thing is self-immersion and awareness of the present moment, away from all the external needs we have daily.
One Token Left is more of a dance floor project developed for Sushitech by Montreal based Jean-Patrice Remillard, also known as Pheek. Past appearances on labels such as Minus, Telegraph and Contexterrior gave the man the right tools to create original productions with a specific approach.
